Heather holds her CPA certification, the CFE credential, a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Missouri – St. Louis, and a Master’s in Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting from St. Louis University. Heather has approximately 15 years of combined experience within the corporate accounting and forensic accounting sectors. This experience has granted her a familiarity with a variety of industries, including manufacturing, retail, and insurance.
She has constructed complex calculations related to various forensic accounting engagements such as financial motive, fraud investigation, employee dishonesty/asset misappropriation, and business income/lost profits calculations. Further, she has assisted in the authorship of expert witness reports utilized for court proceedings and uncovered pivotal financial discoveries used by counsel to negotiate the resolution of cases. She has a wealth of knowledge and experience vouching and tracing general ledger amounts, reviewing and analyzing accounting books and records, detailed variance analysis, reconciliations of bank records and subsidiary ledgers, and identifying misstatements. She is adept at identifying patterns in data, applying professional skepticism, and arriving at analytical conclusions.
